I started working at Coronado Island Realty in 2004, where I realized I had a passion for Real Estate. I received my real estate license when I turned 18, and had the opportunity to learn the business as an “apprentice” to my Dad!
When I went to college, I decided I wanted to take courses to help me excel in our family real estate business, including Real Estate Finance, Investments, Banking, Family Business, Consumer Behavior, Organizational Behavior, and many more. I graduated from the University of San Diego in May 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate. Since then, I have been working to continuously learn more about the real estate market, and my success earned me a position on the University of San Diego Real Estate Alumni Executive Board.
As a rookie realtor in 2009, I closed 6 sales and managed 65 rental properties. In 2010 I exceeded my goal of closing 10 sales when I closed 20! My goals for 2011 were more wholesome, including continuing my sales success, but also to improve on my Spanish, build an internet presence for our company, and design a new agent program for recruiting motivated and knowledgable agents to work with us at CIR. As I begin my fourth year as a full time Realtor, my goal is to increase our property management by 20%, give by to our community by participating in the Veterans Housing Initiative, and close $7.5 million in sales. While my goals are lofty, I feel confident that I will give 110% until I meet and/or exceed them.
Our small, family owned business focuses on honest and competent real estate representation and development. We work as a team, and I personally work daily with my Dad/Broker/CIR Owner, Dave Gillingham, our Property Manager Jessica Knapp, and Project Manager (and also uncle) Mac Donalson.
A vast majority of our business comes from referrals from past clients and repeat clients. We always work to exceed our client’s expectations. Every transaction is different, and we work as if every sale is our first sale. We are flexible and understand that each transaction requires a distinct approach to negotiating and organizing. While we are steadfast in our practice of real estate laws and regulations, we are humble and appreciative of all of the players in each individual escrow.
I have experience in many different transactions including numerous short sales, from both the listing and selling sides, as well as REO’s/foreclosures, Probate Sales, Trust Sales, and traditional sales. In addition to cash and conventional buyers, I have worked with buyers obtaining FHA loans, VA loans, and super-jumbo loans.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling. I have had the opportunity to visit Europe on 4 different trips and each trip has opened my eyes to new cultures and ways of thinking. After spending a summer in Austria, I realized how important it is as a businesswoman to be culturally diverse. While I particularly enjoy Europe, I have also had the opportunity to visit a number of islands in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, and Mexico. Having only visited 16 of the 50 United States, I hope to also have the opportunity to explore more here in the US.
Additionally, as a retired competitive cheerleader, gymnast, and diver, I enjoy volunteering with local cheer squads and other organizations.
In my spare time I relax with my puppy Ben, who is a mix between a Bernese Mountain Dog and an Australian Shepherd. We spend lots of time at the Coronado Cays “Puppy Park” with our puppy friends.
I would love to have the opportunity to work with you. Whether you’re selling your current home, searching for your dream home, looking to invest, or thinking about developing, please contact me so that I can help!
